Kambo can be applied in a number of ways. Here I discuss the different methods of application I use. Please contact me to discuss which you feel is most appropriate for you.
When working with someone for the first time I often honour the tribal tradition where Kambo is traditionally applied to the upper left arm on men or the lower right leg on woman. Kambo can also be applied to chakras, acupuncture meridian and auricular (ear) acupuncture points.
Talk Kambo is a method of working with Kambo that is closer to talk therapy. It was developed by me and then piloted by me and 2 Kambo practitioners who are also trained therapists. The result of the pilot confirmed what I had seen in my early experiments of working this way. Namely that the combination of Kambo applied in the process of a healing conversation can allow the client to go quicker and deeper to the root of a client’s issues. The Talk Kambo process is an individual one and takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. Talk Kambo ceremonies are booked in blocks of four to best reap the benefits of this way of working.
Womb Kambo is a method that was developed by my teacher Karen Darke. It is a more gentle and subtle way of working with Kambo that doesn’t require you to drink water prior to applying the medicine. Though in many ways it is less intense and challenging than the traditional way of applying Kambo it is no less powerful and this method of application allows you more easily to trace where the medicine is going in your body and what emotional issues it is targeting. Womb kambo is a slightly longer process than traditional Kambo often taking between 60-90 minutes but is suitable for people who are frail, have certain health conditions that make either the drinking of large amounts of water or vomiting difficult or are reticent to try kambo because of its intensity but would like to receive it’s benefits.
This method often happens without any physical purge. Womb kambo can happen as either a group ceremony or an individual 1 to 1 treatment.
Please see the events page for a list of upcoming ceremonies or contact me at kambonow@yahoo.co.uk to arrange a ceremony using any one of the methods detailed above.
